Why We Built CrowdRadar
Think about how much time you spend looking for people. Driving around the block waiting for your friend to get out of the house, hitting the bars with your friends on a Friday night, meeting someone for the first time, trying to find your friends in a packed concert, making sure your friend gets home safely after a party, knowing when your guests are arriving, the list goes on and on. So many calls and text messages trying to explain where you are. And on top of that, often times its just impossible to give an accurate description of your location and you have to go out of your way to find a common meeting point. We finally had enough and decided to fix this

CrowdRadar is designed to provide the best possible location accuracy your iPhone can provide. It uses not only GPS but also a low energy Bluetooth beacon to let you know when the other person is nearby. This even works indoors

Warning: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. GPS will stay on for as long as you are sharing your location through CrowdRadar. Unless you stop sharing your location sooner, GPS will stay on for at least 30 minutes from the time you start sharing your location with someone. To stop using GPS and conserve battery power, simply touch the "Stop Sharing" button for each active location share
